Attala, MS – One Injured in Truck Crash Near Center Rd

Attala, MS (November 22, 2022) – On Monday, November 21st, several rescue agencies were dispatched to the scene of a truck crash on Highway 19 in Attala. 

The Attala Central Fire Department, Attala County Deputies, Mississippi Highway Patrol officers, and Emergency Medical Technicians all responded to a collision on Highway 19 near the Center Road intersection. 

According to sources, a tractor-trailer that was transporting grain crashed into the back of a passenger vehicle. The tractor-trailer then fled the scene. 

The driver of the struck vehicle sustained injuries believed to be non-critical. It is unclear if the truck driver has been apprehended at this time. 

This incident is being investigated by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
