Ellisville, MS (November 25, 2022) – First responders from five fire departments in Jones County were called to the scene of a head-on crash on the evening of Friday, November 25.
At around 5:30 p.m., the wreck occurred on MS-29 South, approximately a half-mile south of Ellisville. Upon their arrival at the scene, firefighters began rendering emergency medical attention to those involved. Police acted as traffic control and began the extrication of two entrapped individuals inside their cars.
One person was airlifted to the emergency department due to the extent of their injuries. Other involved individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated on-site by paramedics.
MS-29 was closed while emergency personnel worked to secure the scene and assist the injured victims.
