Meridian, MS (November 28, 2022) – A one-car crash took the life of one person and critically injured another. The wreck happened sometime before noon on November 27, according to reports.
A spokesperson from the Mississippi Highway Patrol stated the crash occurred on Interstate 59 between milepost 126 and 127. The driver, who has not been identified, suffered critical injuries in the wreck. Their passenger, only identified as a juvenile, lost their life.
Their identities have not been released at this time. MHP is working on notifying the next of kin.
Delays in traffic ensued near the crash site while emergency crews worked in the area. No other details have been reported.
