Hattiesburg, MS (January 16, 2023) – Police in Hattiesburg were sent to the scene of a car crash on the evening of January 16. At approximately 5:55 p.m. on Monday, the incident was reported to officials in the area.
Sources say the crash occurred on West 4th Street in the vicinity of Century Park North. An unknown number of cars collided in the 2900 block of West 4th Street for reasons still being investigated by police.
At least one individual was in need of emergency medical attention at the scene. Currently, the total number of injured parties remains unknown.
The roadway was blocked while emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage and assist injured patients. Drivers commuting near Century Park North were asked to use alternate routes.
