Natchez, MS (February 9, 2023) – A car crash was reported to police in Natchez on the morning of February 8. At approximately 7:45 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of the accident on Interstate 55.
Police say the accident occurred on I-55 before Pearl Street. An unknown number of cars crashed in the area and caused injuries to those involved.
Paramedics treated injured parties on-site. Those who were seriously hurt were taken by ambulance to area medical centers.
The roadway was closed while crews were working at the scene. Traffic delays were seen coming up from the Stack on I-55 for some time on the morning of February 8.
Police officials in Natchez continue to investigate the details of the accident.
