Richland, MS (February 24, 2023) – On Thursday morning, February 23, a car crash happened in Richland that required an emergency dispatch. Reports show the incident occurred on US 49 for reasons currently undetermined.
Multiple responders were seen rendering aid at the crash scene, located on US 49 near Harper Street. Vehicles crashed near McBride Street, causing injuries to at least one person.
Paramedics treated those with injuries at the scene before transporting seriously injured patients to area hospitals as needed.
The roadway was blocked while emergency crews worked in the area. Police urged local motorists to use alternate routes while the crash site was active with responders.
