Pearl River County, MS (May 25, 2023) – As previously reported, a car crash happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 17, in Pearl River County.
Reports show the wreck occurred on Highway 26 near J M Tynes Road. A 2007 GMC Truck operated by Silas Ensign, 19, of Laurel, was headed west on Highway 26 when it crashed into a 2022 Chevrolet Camaro operated by 27-year-old Nicholas Gagliano, a resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Gagliano was headed East on Highway 26 at the time.
Both vehicles caught fire after the crash.
Nicholas Gagliano was fatally injured in the accident and pronounced deceased on-site. An investigation remains ongoing.
