DeSoto County, MS (June 18, 2023) – On Sunday, June 18, a serious car accident happened in DeSoto County. Multiple responders were sent to the scene at around 6:38 p.m.
Sources say the accident took place on Interstate 55 near Pleasant Hill Road and Nesbit Road, exit 284. All lanes of the roadway were blocked while crews worked to help the involved parties and clear the wreckage from the area.
Currently, the cause of the incident remains under investigation by local law enforcement. Vehicles crashed in the area, causing at least one individual to sustain injuries, however, the details of the wreck remain unknown.
