Jackson, MS (July 18, 2023) – Police in Jackson are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday morning, July 17. Several responders went to the scene of the accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Maddox Road.
Authorities say the crash occurred on Maddox Road near Highway 18 when two vehicles crashed for currently unknown reasons. They were identified as a Nissan Sentra and a pickup truck. At least one of them was flipped over.
The Hinds County Coroner reported that Ariel Maynor, age 20, of Jackson, lost her life in the collision.
Police in Jackson continue to investigate the details of the accident.
