Wayne County, MS (October 17, 2023) – A major vehicle collision occurred in Wayne County on the morning of Tuesday, October 17. Responders went to the crash site at around 8:27 a.m. after receiving calls concerning the incident.
One or more people were hurt in the collision that took place on US Route 84 near Old Highway 84. All eastbound lanes of the road were closed while emergency crews worked at the crash scene in an effort to help the involved individuals.
How the collision took place has not been reported to the public at this time. At least one individual suffered injuries in the wreck and was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Authorities in Wayne County continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
