Meridian, MS (October 30, 2023) – A car crash happened on a highway in Meridian on Saturday evening, October 28. Responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after it happened in order to render aid to the people involved.
Sources report the incident took place when a 2007 Toyota Sequoia was headed north on Highway 45 and became involved in a collision with a 2015 Ford Explorer. The Explorer was carrying one adult driver and three minors.
One child was taken by ambulance to Anderson Hospital in critical condition. The young victim was later transported to University Medical Center in Jackson.
Police in Meridian continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck.
