Jackson, MS (December 24, 2023) – A woman lost her life in a fatal accident in Jackson. The incident was reported to police in the area at approximately 10:20 p.m. According to information from local sources, the accident took place on Highway 80 near Maddox Road. When police got to the scene, they found a gray Nissan Frontier that had been involved in a collision with a Nissan Altima. The individual inside the Altima was identified as Kaniya Gatlin. She lost her life at the scene of the accident. The operator of the Frontier was transported to an area medical center by a private vehicle.
Authorities in Jackson are working to determine the cause of the crash. Nothing further has been reported.
