Lauderdale County, MS (January 9, 2024) – A major car crash was reported to police in Lauderdale County on Wednesday, January 9. Police and EMTs went to the crash site at approximately 8:32 p.m. to help the individuals who were involved in the incident. According to reports, the wreck occurred on Interstate 20 near 29th Avenue. Two vehicles collided and injured at least one person. Paramedics helped the injured victims and took them to the hospital by ambulance, however, at this time, the extent of their injuries has not been reported. The roadway was blocked for an extended period while emergency crews worked to help clear the debris from the area to restore regular traffic.
