Rankin County, MS (January 17, 2024) – A major auto collision with injuries occurred in Rankin County. Reports from authorities show it took place shortly before 7:00 p.m. between two or more vehicles. According to information from local authorities, it occurred on Interstate 20 near US 80/the exit to downtown Brandon, exit 56. The vehicles collided under circumstances that are still being investigated by area authorities. At least one individual was transported to the hospital by ambulance after receiving assistance from EMS at the crash site. Police urged local drivers to use alternate routes while they worked in the area.
