Panola County, MS (January 22, 2024) –A man lost his life and another person was hurt in a collision reported in Panola County.
According to information provided by local news reports, the wreck occurred on January 20 at around 12:00 p.m. when a Hyundai Elantra was headed south on Highway 51. The circumstances that led to the collision are still being investigated by local police at this time. The driver lost his life in the wreck while a passenger present in the vehicle at the time sustained injuries. Several responders, including police, EMTs, and fire crews, arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred to render aid. Paramedics helped the injured victim and transported them to an area hospital for treatment. No one involved has been identified at this time.
