Alcorn County, MS (September 12, 2022) – A car wreck resulted in an emergency dispatch on the afternoon of September 6. At approximately 4:20 p.m., emergency crews including paramedics, fire crews, and police were sent to the scene to help the involved parties.
All lanes of US 45 were blocked near County Road 512 while first responders were present in the area. Local drivers were forced to use alternate travel routes while the scene was active.
One or more individuals required care from paramedics at the scene. The total number of injured victims has not been reported.
Authorities in Alcorn County continue to investigate the details of the incident.
