Baldwyn, MS (June 14, 2023) – One person lost their life in a fatal collision involving a van and an 18-wheeler. Reports show the fatal incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, June 14, in Baldwyn.
Police and paramedics went to the scene, located on US Highway 45, in order to render aid to those involved. When they arrived, they found an 18-wheeler and a van that had been involved in a crash.
The Prentiss County Coroner pronounced one individual deceased on-site shortly after 5:00 p.m. The victim’s name has not been reported at this time.
Closures on Highway 45 near the Sonic resulted in significant delays in traffic on Wednesday afternoon, forcing local drivers to use alternate routes.
