Biloxi, MS (April 17, 2022) – Around 4:26 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, April 16, a teen was hurt in a pedestrian accident that took place at an intersection in Biloxi.
According to Biloxi Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Veterans Avenue. A female teen was walking across the street at the intersection when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle that was traveling in the area. It is not known if the driver of the passenger vehicle remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to assist the teen. Life-saving measures were conducted, as she was seriously injured in the accident. The teen was then rushed to a local hospital, though their condition is not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, all lanes of traffic were blocked at the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
