Biloxi, MS (October 19, 2022) – Two tractor-trailers crashed on an interstate in Biloxi and took the life of one person. Reports indicate the incident occurred late on Tuesday, October 17.
Emergency crews including police, EMTs, and fire crews were sent to assist at the crash scene. The wreck occurred on Interstate 10 on the Gulf Coast, according to information from reports.
Two tractor-trailers collided near mile marker 28 and closed down the westbound lanes of the interstate for an extended period of time, local sources reported. The Mississippi Highway Patrol, CRTC, Gulfport Fire Department, and Harrison County Fire Rescue all responded to the wreck site.
Few details are available on how the incident occurred. Police in Biloxi continue to investigate.
One person reportedly lost their life in the accident. Their name has not been reported at this time.
