Blue Springs, MS (March 23, 2022) – On Tuesday afternoon, March 22, injuries were reported in a vehicle collision in Blue Springs.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol officials, the accident happened in the afternoon hours on MS-22. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with one another in rainy conditions. One of the vehicles went off the side of the road, where it crashed into a ditch. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result. Police confirmed that the vehicle that went off the side of the road caught on fire.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The parties were hospitalized and are expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
