Brandon, MS (January 30, 2022) – Brandon Police confirmed that a fatal three-car accident occurred in Brandon that took the life of one person on Sunday afternoon, January 30.
According to local officials, the accident happened before 2 p.m. on Burnham Road. Three vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. It is believed that one or more vehicles lost control, which led to the collision. The involved vehicles were severely damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone else was hurt in the collision.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident until police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
