Pedestrian Accidents in Mississippi
Pedestrian accidents are known for being some of the most severe and life-altering accidents on Mississippi roadways. This is due to the fact that pedestrians have no protection from harm in the event of an accident. This also means that pedestrians are more likely to become seriously injured or even killed in the event of a pedestrian accident. In 2011 alone, it was reported that approximately 47 people were killed in fatal pedestrian accidents and many others sustained serious injuries. It is never easy to face injuries caused by a pedestrian accident. If you have been hurt in a pedestrian accident, you should be prepared to speak with an attorney that you can trust.
In 2018, it was reported that approximately 13% of car accidents deaths in Mississippi involved pedestrians. This means that these accidents turn the lives of many upside-down every single year. Being hurt in a pedestrian accident can impact every aspect of your life. This is especially true if you have sustained severe injuries in one of these accidents, including any of the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Organ damage
- Fractures
If you have been hurt in a pedestrian accident that is not your fault, you may be feeling confused and alone. It is imperative that you speak with a Canton personal injury lawyer who has your best interests in mind.
