Carthage, MS (November 18, 2021) – At 6:23 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday night, November 17, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Carthage.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of MS-16 and Moon Walk Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. At least one victim was hurt as a result of the accident. The injured victim was hospitalized, though their identity and condition are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the intersection was blocked for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
