Clinton, MS (December 22, 2022) – A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed on Tuesday night, December 20, in Clinton. The incident was reported to police and paramedics in the area at around 10:00 p.m.
Multiple responders were sent to the scene, located near Walmart on Highway 80. Reports indicate the crash occurred when a 2008 silver Ford Focus was headed west on Highway 80. For unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed into Donald Brumfield, 68, of Clinton.
Brumfield lost his life in the accident. He was attempting to cross the highway on foot when he was hit by the vehicle. Authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
