Columbus, MS (October 20, 2022) – First responders were sent to the scene of a car wreck on a roadway in Columbus. According to information from reports, the accident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, October 20.
An unspecified number of vehicles crashed in the area and caused at least one person to become injured. Reports show the wreck occurred on US 82 near MS 25 North in Lowndes County.
All eastbound lanes of the roadway were closed while emergency crews were present in the area. At least one person was transported from the crash scene to a local hospital for treatment.
At this time, those involved have not been identified. Authorities in Columbus continue to investigate the details of the accident.
