Cuevas, MS (July 4, 2023) – One person lost their life in an RV collision on an interstate in Cuevas on Saturday afternoon, July 1. Police said Martin Bruno, age 78, lost his life at the scene of the crash.
Reports show the incident happened near Menge Avenue on I-10. His wife was identified as 77-year-old Eileen Bruno who suffered critical injuries in the collision. Westbound traffic on Interstate 10 was delayed for several hours while emergency responders worked at the scene.
Additionally, a helicopter had to land at the scene in order to airlift the woman to the hospital. Authorities say the RV left the roadway and struck a tree for reasons still under investigation.
