DeSoto County, MS (June 30, 2023) – On the morning of June 27, a serious car accident happened in DeSoto County that caused injuries and traffic delays. Responders including police, EMTs, and firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident shortly after it occurred in order to help the people involved.
Sources say the accident happened on Interstate 269 near Mississippi Route 302. The northbound lanes of traffic were delayed for some time around 7:00 a.m. while crews worked in the area.
At least one person was transported to the hospital with injuries shortly after the incident occurred. No one involved has been identified at this time. Police in DeSoto County continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
