Mississippi Auto Collisions
Every year, there are more than 5 million car accidents reported in the United States. In the Magnolia State, hundreds of thousands of auto collisions occur per year. These crashes send approximately 2 million people to the hospital annually and take the lives of more than 40,000. An alarming truth related to these accidents is that most of them happen due to the actions of negligent drivers.
In the past ten years, driver negligence has become more common throughout the United States. A Stanford Law School report estimated approximately 94% of American traffic collisions are caused partially or totally by driver negligence/error. In today’s world, a driver’s attention may be distracted in far too many ways. From cell phones to radios to GPS, there are too many places for drivers to avert their eyes.
