Mississippi Pedestrian Accidents

Gautier, MS - Minh Phuong-Thi Quach Killed in Pedestrian Collision on US 90

Pedestrian accidents are extremely devastating for everyone involved. Several occur in the state of Mississippi and across the United States every year. On average, over 5,000 people lose their lives in fatal pedestrian accidents yearly across the nation. Pedestrian crashes often end in severe injuries for those involved because pedestrians travel with little to no protection. When they are struck by vehicles, they often suffer severe injuries that land them in the hospital for days or even weeks, where they must undergo extensive and expensive medical care. Additionally, being struck by a car can be very scary. Pedestrian crash victims may develop depression, anxiety, and even PTSD in severe situations.

Overall, being hurt in a pedestrian accident can be extremely difficult, and those who suffer through such an experience end up needing assistance to make full recoveries. The expenses related to medical costs, mental health care, vehicle replacement or repair, lost wages, and more may be extremely overwhelming. Depending on how the crash happened, an injured accident victim may be able to file a personal injury claim for financial compensation to help them pay for their damages and losses.
