Car Accidents in Mississippi
Each year crashes in the state of Mississippi take the lives of hundreds of people while leaving thousands of others injured. There are many instances where innocent people are hurt as a result of drivers who engage in acts of negligence.
Drunk driving is a leading cause of car accidents in Mississippi. Drivers who are impaired are often unable to control their vehicles. As a result, we see impaired drivers drift into other lanes, crash into vehicles at intersections, and engage in other dangerous behaviors.
Distractions are another leading cause of car accidents. Whether you’re talking on the phone, texting, or just not paying attention to the road, distracted driving is dangerous and can lead to serious accidents.
Failing to yield is another common cause of car accidents. When you’re turning or merging, make sure you yield to oncoming traffic. Don’t assume they’ll see you; make sure they do before you proceed.
