Hancock County, MS (July 15, 2023) – A car accident in Hancock County turned fatal on Saturday, July 15. Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol report that the incident occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. A man identified as Codie Beasley was killed in the crash.
Beasley was traveling on Interstate 10 when he was involved in a collision with another driver. Several responders went to the crash scene in an effort to render aid; however, Beasley was pronounced deceased on-site.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation by local police at this time. The interstate was closed while crews worked at the scene, causing significant delays in traffic in the area.
