Harrison County, MS (October 3, 2023) – A man identified as James E. Lizana, age 80, from Pass Christian, lost his life in a motor vehicle collision on Sunday, September 1, in Hancock County. The wreck happened in Harrison County at around 10:34 a.m., according to information provided by local officials.
Reports from authorities show the collision took place when Lizana, was heading west on Interstate 10 in a 1994 GMC pickup truck when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle was struck by a minivan, also headed west.
Lizana received fatal injuries as a result of the collision. He was pronounced deceased on-site by responding paramedics.
Police in Harrison County are still investigating the details of the collision.
