Mississippi Truck Accidents
Each year, tens of thousands of auto collisions that end in injuries happen right here in the Magnolia State. Unfortunately, the majority of these crashes are preventable. A percentage of these involve semi-trucks, as commercial vehicles are common on the roadways in Mississippi and across the United States. Truck accidents are often more severe than other types of crashes due to the fact that semi-trucks are much heavier and larger than passenger vehicles. Unfortunately, semi-truck drivers often engage in negligent actions due to having to work long, grueling hours under difficult circumstances.
Negligent driving usually causes innocent people to suffer from severe injuries like spinal cord injuries, compound fractures, and internal organ injuries. Many factors contribute to car crashes throughout the state, including intoxicated driving due to alcohol and drugs, the use of smartphones while behind the wheel, failure to yield, disregarding traffic signs/signals, and reckless lane switching.
These negligent acts continue to cause substantial harm to drivers and passengers alike. If you or someone you love has recently been injured by the actions of a reckless or negligent driver, you may be eligible to file a personal injury claim for financial compensation. Seeking help from a truck accident lawyer in Mississippi is vital to help you pursue full and fair financial compensation for damages like outstanding medical bills and lost wages.
