Hattiesburg, MS (January 30, 2023) – A serious car accident happened in Hattiesburg on Sunday, January 29. At approximately 6:35 p.m., emergency responders were sent to the scene of the accident on Black & Gold Boulevard. 

Sources report the incident happened on Black & Gold Boulevard near the University Police Department. How the collision occurred is currently under investigation by area authorities. 

EMS crews, police officers, and other responders were seen rendering aid at the crash scene. One or more injured victims were treated and taken to local hospitals by ambulance. 

One of the involved drivers fled the scene without waiting for police to arrive. No one involved has been identified at this time.
