Hattiesburg, MS (July 01, 2022) – Officers from the Hattiesburg Police Department reported that a portion of Interstate 59 was shut down after an accident caused a tractor-trailer to overturn on Friday, July 1st.
The accident took place in the early morning in the northbound lanes of the interstate near milepost 67 in Hattiesburg.
One person sustained non-critical injuries. They were transported by paramedics as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
The lanes were reopened at about 6:00 a.m.
