Hattiesburg, MS (October 24, 2023) – A traffic accident between a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle happened on Sunday afternoon, October 22. One person reportedly lost their life in the collision.
The Hattiesburg Police Department reports that the wreck happened at approximately 1:45 p.m. on US 49 North near Ralston Road. One fatality was confirmed by authorities and no other injuries were reported.
Police in Hattiesburg are still investigating the details of the incident. The roadway remained closed for an extensive period on Sunday while crews worked to secure the scene.
