Hattiesburg, MS (February 25, 2023) – At approximately 1:30 p.m. on February 25, officers with the Southern Mississippi Police Department responded to the scene of a car accident on West 4th Street that left at least one person injured.
According to information from preliminary reports, a crash between vehicles took place on West 4th Street near Zelaya’s Bakery and the Softball Complex Park. Emergency responders, including area police and paramedics, worked to control the scene and clear the roadway of debris.
Those who were injured were rendered aid by emergency paramedics at the scene. An unknown number of individuals who sustained injuries were transported to a local hospital to receive further care.
The crash is currently under investigation by police in Hattiesburg.
