Hernando, MS (November 5, 2023) – A serious car crash happened in Hernando on the evening of November 3. At approximately 6:00 p.m., emergency responders were sent to the scene of the incident on Interstate 55.
Local reports from authorities show the crash occurred on I-55 at Pleasant Hill Road near Nesbit Road. Two or more cars collided for reasons still being investigated by local police.
At least one person was hurt in the accident, however, the extent of their injuries has not been reported at this time. Paramedics helped those with injuries and took them to the hospital for further care.
Currently, the names of the people who were hurt in the accident have not been reported. The roadway was blocked for an extended time period while crews worked to help those with injuries.
Police in Hernando continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
