Hernando, MS (August 27, 2022) – At least one person was hurt in a car crash reported in Hernando on Thursday, August 25. At approximately 5:00 p.m., responders were sent to the scene of an accident on Interstate 69.
Reports indicate that the collision occurred on I-69 near I-55. What caused the incident remains under police investigation at this time.
One or more injured victims were treated at the crash scene. However, the total number of injured victims has not currently been reported.
All southbound lanes of the interstate were closed while police and other responders were in the area. Traffic was backed up while crews worked to clear the roadway and drivers were asked to use different routes.
