Mississippi Car Crashes

Hillsboro, MS - Adam Lee Carr, Ana Ray Killed in Fatal Collision on Portsmouth Blvd

Speeding and driver intoxication are continuous factors in fatal crashes in Mississippi. In 2016, drunk driving caused almost a quarter of car accidents reported in the Magnolia State. Drunk driving crashes also yielded the highest number of fatalities. Speeding and intoxication are both dangerous forms of driver negligence/error, the main contributor to car accidents in Mississippi and throughout the United States.

In 2020, alcohol-related deaths were related to approximately 26% of total traffic fatalities. About 75% of the deceased victims were drunk drivers themselves. Being intoxicated often leads to bad judgment and impaired vision, two dangerous things to display while behind the wheel. Drunk drivers often cause catastrophic accidents that can result in severe, debilitating injuries for victims or even death.

If you or a loved one of yours has been hurt in an auto accident caused by speeding, intoxicated driving, or some other form of driver negligence, you may be eligible to collect significant financial compensation. Compensation can help pay for the expenses related to your or your loved one’s injuries and cover the costs related to damages that resulted from your crash. An auto accident attorney will be able to help you file a personal injury claim for compensation.

When you’re injured in a traffic accident, it’s important to determine whether the incident was your fault or the fault of a negligent driver. If you think that your wreck was caused by another person, you may qualify for compensation that can help cover the costs associated with your accident.

If you’ve lost someone you love in an accident, a wrongful death attorney can help you collect compensation for funeral costs and other expenses.
