Hillsboro, MS (June 22, 2023) – On Wednesday, June 21, police in Suffolk County received reports concerning a single-vehicle crash. The incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. on Portsmouth Boulevard.
Reports from authorities show the crash happened at around 7:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard. Suffolk Police arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation that concluded the vehicle left the road and struck a pole.
Two adult occupants were determined to have lost their lives at the crash site. They were identified as Ana Ray, age 24, of Virginia Beach, and Adam Lee Carr, age 28, of Suffolk.
A baby was also present in the vehicle at the time of the collision. The child was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to reports. Carr was found to be the father of the baby.
The City of Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue rendered aid at the crash site and provided advanced life support to the infant before transporting them to the hospital. Authorities in Hillsboro continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
