Holly Springs, MS (December 14, 2022) – Just before 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, an individual from Memphis, Tennessee, identified as Adrian R. Lamorut, 32, lost their life in a crash in Marshall County.
Information from police shows the accident happened on I-22 when the driver Lamorut was riding with struck a parked tractor-trailer. The driver, identified as Reinier L. Rodriguez, 35, was moderately injured in the collision and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Medics attempted life-saving measures on Lamorut, however, they were unsuccessful.
Lamorut was pronounced deceased on-site at around 9:11 a.m. on December 9 by the Marshall County coroner. The wreck occurred approximately a mile west of Victoria and approximately 3 miles east of Byhalia, according to reports.
The Byhalia and Victoria fire departments responded to the scene. Police in Holly Springs continue to investigate the details of the crash.
