Houston, MS (September 19, 2022) – Two people lost their lives Saturday evening in a car wreck in Chickasaw County. The Mississippi Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the fatal wreck at around 5:20 p.m.
Reports indicate the accident happened on Highway 32. Information from police shows that Charles Blackwelder, age 54, a Bruce resident, was headed west on the highway on his motorcycle with his wife as a passenger.
The bike, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and ejected both Blackwelder and his wife, age 53. She was identified as Anita Darlene Blackwelder.
Both individuals suffered fatal injuries in the accident. They were both pronounced deceased on-site.
Authorities in Houston continue to investigate the details of the incident. No other information has been reported at this time.
