Jackson, MS (December 31, 2022) – In the early morning hours of Friday, December 30, a serious traffic accident involving a semi-truck took place in Jackson. At approximately 6:36 a.m., responders were sent to the scene to render aid and investigate.
Police, paramedics, and other responders were sent to the crash scene to render aid and investigate a short time after the incident occurred. At least one person was in need of emergency medical care due to injuries they sustained in the crash.
Sources say the incident occurred on Interstate 20 near Ellis Avenue. A semi-truck ended up jack-knifed on the interstate for reasons still under police investigation.
Paramedis rendered aid to those involved at the scene. One or more injured victims were transported to local hospitals by ambulance.
