Jackson, MS (October 21, 2022) – Police in Hinds County were called to the scene of an auto crash that happened on the morning of October 21. Just before 9:00 a.m., on Friday, multiple responders were sent to help those involved in the wreck.
According to reports, the collision happened on Interstate 55 in the vicinity of Woodrow Wilson Avenue/exit 98A. An unknown number of cars crashed in the area and caused injuries.
Emergency medical technicians were seen rendering aid at the wreck site. At this time, the number of victims in need of extensive medical care has not been reported.
Traffic was blocked in the northbound right lane for some time on Friday morning while responders worked to secure the crash site and help those involved. Police asked local drivers to use different routes while the area was occupied.
