Jackson, MS (September 14, 2023) – A child lost their life in a house fire in Jackson on Sunday, September 10. Responders say it occurred on Clinton Circle.
A woman who lived in the house that caught fire reported that her boyfriend’s one-year-old son lost his life in the blaze. She also reported that her nephew rescued another child who was in the house at the time.
The same woman also said that a worker with the electric company said that there may have been faulty wiring inside the house that caused the fire. Investigators in Jackson said they believe the fire was caused by a grill, but the situation is still under local law enforcement investigation.
No other details have been reported concerning the fire at this time.
