Jackson, MS (October 22, 2022) – A car accident in Jackson required an emergency dispatch. It happened at around 10:48 p.m. on October 21.
Reports indicate the incident occurred on Interstate 55 near McDowell Road/exit 92 in Hinds County. All southbound lanes were blocked while emergency crews worked in the area.
At this time, what caused the incident to take place has not been reported. Police are working to determine the details of the accident.
At least one person was hurt in the wreck. The victims with injuries were transported from the crash site to a local hospital for treatment.
Traffic in the area was backed up while emergency responders were present. No other information has been reported at this time.
