Jackson, MS (December 25, 2022) – Authorities in Jackson County responded to the scene of a traffic accident that took place on Friday morning that resulted in injuries. At around 6:45 a.m. on December 23, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a crash that occurred on Interstate 55.
Reports provided by Highway Patrol show that a crash blocked the northbound side of the interstate. The incident caused delays on the right side of the roadway between Madison Avenue and Mississippi State Route 463.
Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the scene to provide assistance to the injured victims. Firefighters and police worked to clear the road as medics rendered aid to the injured victims. At least one of the people involved in the accident suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
