Jackson, MS (February 2, 2023) – At least one person was hurt in a car crash that happened in Jackson on the morning of February 2. Emergency crews were dispatched to the crash site at approximately 9:35 a.m. in order to render aid to the involved parties.
Police state the wreck occurred on Interstate 55 near Lakeland Drive. What led to the collision remains under investigation by local authorities at this time.
Emergency medical technicians treated those with injuries at the scene. One or more injured patients were in need of further care and were transported by ambulance to area medical centers to be treated as necessary.
The roadway was closed, and traffic was delayed for some time on the morning of February 2. Investigators continue to work to determine the cause of the accident.
