Jackson, MS (July 27, 2023) – A pedestrian lost their life in an early morning traffic accident that occurred in Jackson. Sources say the incident took place at around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25.
The unidentified victim was hit by a vehicle headed south on I-55/West Frontage Road near Edgewood Terrace Drive, according to information provided by authorities. Paramedics attempted life-saving efforts, however, the pedestrian lost their life at the crash scene.
The driver involved sustained no injuries in the accident. Responders blocked the roadway for an extended period of time, causing significant delays in traffic.
Police in Jackson continue to investigate the details of the collision.
