Jackson, MS (October 19, 2022) – On Wednesday morning, October 19, a major car crash was reported on a roadway in Jackson that required an emergency dispatch. Shortly before 9:00 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the scene of the crash to render aid and investigate the circumstances.
Reports indicate the accident occurred on Interstate 20 just before Raymond Road, otherwise known as MS 18. All lanes of the interstate were blocked while crews worked in the area.
Police asked local drivers commuting near the crash site to use US 80 traveling inbound to the city from Vicksburg or Clinton. Authorities are still working to determine what caused the wreck to occur.
